This section of the site is dedicated to providing you with the knowledge and tools to make positive changes in yourself. Self-development occurs when you want to change and improve yourself.

True self-development

True self-development teaches us to become aware of ourselves as both an individual self and a higher universal Self. The universal Self is our unchanging, essential core Self, constructed of pure consciousness and awareness.

Our many different selves

The individual self is composed of many selves, our sense of self when we are alone, our social self, the sense of self we cultivate at work, with friends, and so on.

Systems such as yoga (‘yoga’ means connection) and meditation give us the tools to work with our various individual selves and to link to our highest Self.

Develop your individual self

The self-development techniques in this section are mainly concerned with the individual self. They teach us to become aware of the patterns of body, mind, emotions, personality and behaviour that arise under different circumstances. Techniques to connect to our highest universal Self are mainly found in our Spirit section.

Recognize positive and negative patterns

Some patterns are creative, positive and intelligent - our smart bits. Some patterns are negative and destructive - our dumb bits. The negative patterns are often young and undeveloped parts of us. Once we start to pay attention to and nurture these parts of us they blossom into positive patterns.

Make fulfilling and satisfying changes

Once we are aware of our patterns we can apply techniques that enhance positive patterns and remove, manage or change negative patterns. Achieving this is satisfying and fulfilling. We become more autonomous and feel that we are creatively participating in our own evolution.
