Q: What is the difference between the style of yoga you teach on Big Shakti from the other styles?
A: Our style of yoga is not based on any one technique. Rather we aim to empower you to discover what is right for you. We feel that all the systems and lineages of yoga have their own unique contribution to make to the rich living heritage of yoga and yoga tantra. Big Shakti honors all traditions and seeks to provide you with the principles and techniques that are common to and underlie all other systems of yoga. In this way, you can go into any system of yoga with greater depth and understanding.
Self-awareness is at the heart of our system. Self-awareness allows you to feel and be more connected, and the meaning of the word yoga is connection. So our system aims to teach how to feel what is right for you by supporting your ability to feel and intuit. We aim to empower you to be the best that you can be, and to find the methods that suit you and that enable you to do this.
Our techniques do include stretching, breathing, meditation, as well as other traditional yoga practices. However anything you do with awareness that enables you to grow and become more aware is a form of yoga (connection). You can also become connected through gardening, psychological training, Tai Chi (we call this a Chinese system of yoga), as well as through the yoga of work and relationships. Big Shakti will show you how to achieve this.

Q: What is the difference between the CDs and the MP3s?
A: Some products are in both CD and MP3 format. Some products are only available as MP3 downloads as we are aiming to create contemporary, accessible and cost-effective products that save on manufacturing and shipping costs. The MP3 versions of the CDs are identical to the CDs.
Q: How long will my order take to arrive?
A: To keep our prices down, most of our products are shipped from Australia and some are posted from within the USA. More than 90% of our orders are shipped within 24 hours of being placed on our site. Actual delivery time to our customers depends on destination. Orders may occasionally be delayed due to processing time by customs, or at peak times such as during the various holiday seasons.
A recent survey of customers shows that:
• 70% of orders arrive within 7 days
• 85% of orders arrive within 14 days
• 99% of orders arrive within 21 days
If you have not received a dispatch confirmation email within 5 business days of placing your order please check that a spam filter has not stopped the email.

Q: Which is the best currency to purchase your products, $Aust, $US or Euro?
A: It is best to purchase your order in the currency that your credit card is issued in. This will ensure that you are not charged any extra currency conversion fees. If you are unable to purchase in the currency of your card then it is best to pay in the currency of your region, e.g. AUD$ for Australia and NZ, USD$ for the North and South America, Canada, Asia, Africa and surrounding regions, and EURO for Europe, Britain and surrounding regions.
Q: My credit card statement shows a "foreign card fee" as well as my payment to you?
A: If you purchase your order in the currency of your credit card you will not be charged a “foreign card fee”. However, if you purchase our products in a currency other than that of your card a small number of credit card companies impose a small "foreign card fee" on your purchase. This is rare and is usually only 1 or 2%. If you are not sure if your credit card company imposes such a fee, you may like to contact them before you order.
Q: I got a coupon code but I do not know where to use it?
A: It is located in a box above the final total in the checkout process.
Q: What do I need to do if I want to change my order?

We try to ship your orders within 24 hours of the order being made so it is important that you let us know of any changes as soon as possible.
Q: Is shopping with Big Shakti secure?
A: Buying online from Big Shakti is safe and reliable. To ensure your payments are secure we use the latest available 256-bit encryption technology (also known as SSL Technology).
Your credit card details are never sent by email and we will never disclose your details to anyone.
We’ve chosen leading payment processor eWay to process payments because of its proven track record for safety and reliability. For those who prefer it, we also now accept Pay Pal
Q: How to download my purchases?
A: For customers:
1. Login to your account (with your login credentials) on the website.
2. Once logged in successfully you will be redirected to "My Account" page, click on the "My Downloadable Products" link from the left navigation menu.
3. In "My Downloadable Products" page, click on the "Download" link (for each product) to download your purchased products.
4. When it prompts for download, choose save file option to save the file to your local machine.
For guest users:
1. Once the order is processed, you will receive an email.
2. You will find links in the email for downloadable items, click on those links.
3. It prompts for you to download products, choose save file option to save files to your local machine. Please note that this will work only when the payment has been processed for your order.
Q. Do you accept Pay Pal?
A:Yes, we do now accept Pay Pal. Simply select "Pay Pal" as your payment option when going through the checkout process. You can also select Pay Pal if you want to pay using your American Express (Amex) or Discover Card (unfortunately, due to technical reasons, the Pay Pal option is currently the only way we can accept payment using those two cards).
Q: Will you keep my personal details private?
A: Yes! We understand that your privacy is important, that's why we will never pass on your name, address, or email address to anyone without your permission.

Q: I am having trouble accessing my shopping cart, what am I doing wrong?
A: The reason you are having trouble accessing the shopping cart might mean a problem with the cookies setting on your computer. The cookie may have expired or not been set properly. This can cause your computer to be booted out. Some times though its just one of those things that can happen on the internet.
We suggest that you try again and if you are still having a problem ordering please email enquiries@bigshakti.com and we will help you out to the best of our ability.
Q: I have ordered from you before, but I can't see my old orders in the "previous orders" section in "my account"?
A: If you have been shopping with us for some time, you would be aware that in mid May 2008 we upgraded and overhauled our website and shopping cart platform. With the new platform comes heaps of great features including a log of previous orders and the ability to "place order again" but due to technical reasons, the only orders shown are those placed on the new system. Orders placed before mid May 2008 will not be shown. If you have a question about an order before that date, of course, all you have to do is email us enquiries@bigshakti.com
Q: I'm not happy with my order, what can I do?
A: If for any reason you are not happy with any products you have ordered from us, when you receive them, send us an email at enquiries@bigshakti.com and tell us why. You may return new, unopened, or faulty items sold by Big Shakti within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or replacement, whichever you choose. Be sure to include your relevant details that identify you as our customer.
Refunds
You can expect to receive your refund within four weeks of posting the item back to us. You will be notified via email of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item. Items that are opened or returned more than 30 days after delivery will not be refunded unless special circumstance apply.
