Freeway to Ecstasy

Chanting the Divine Name has been acknowledged throughout the ages by saints and sages, to be one of the quickest and easiest pathways to Self Realization. This Supreme Self can be expressed as having the Divine Masculine Principle (Shiva) and also the Divine Feminine Principle (Shakti).

Shiva is the supreme consciousness, the center of the vortex of creation. Shakti is the creative force, the dynamic energy that IS that vortex in which Shiva is absolute. She is Shiva's empowerment. Shakti, because she knows herself is also the mirror in which Shiva experiences himself and sees his own "I AM" presence reflected.

Author Bio

Sharman Okan, (Swami Shishyananda Saraswati), has been chanting for 35 years. She lived as a sannyasin in a Yoga Ashram for twelve years as a teenager and young adult where she learned to chant sacred mantras as a path to healing and a freeway to enlightenment and ecstasy.

Sharman continues to lead live chanting (kirtan) - she intimately understands the intricacies of the chant and, with the power of her voice and her devotional nature, creates a space for others to transform and heal.
