Sankalpa and Purpose Workshop
3 Workshop Series with Jayne Stevenson
Creating Positive Change: The Art of Sankalpa
A 3-part workshop series exploring the deeper art of Sankalpa — not simply as goal setting, but as a conscious process of inner alignment, meaningful change, and self-understanding.
Blending yogic psychology, meditation, symbolism, philosophy, and practical reflection, this immersive series invites participants to explore how intention is formed, what shapes desire, and how deeper aspects of the psyche influence the changes we seek in life.
Across the workshops, Jayne Stevenson guides participants through a thoughtful and interactive exploration of Sankalpa from both practical and contemplative perspectives. Drawing from yoga, meditation, archetypal psychology, dreamwork, mythology, ancient texts, and reflective practices, the series offers a grounded and deeply human approach to creating change that feels authentic, sustainable, and aligned.
This is not a workshop about forcing outcomes or “thinking positively.” It is an exploration of how conscious intention emerges when the deeper layers of the mind, heart, and psyche begin working together rather than against each other.
Participants will explore themes such as:
- the origins and meaning of Sankalpa within yogic traditions
- the relationship between desire, purpose, willpower, and deeper self-awareness
- how unconscious patterns and psychological “shadows” can influence intention
- practical ways to create meaningful, realistic, and life-supporting change
- the role of meditation, symbolism, language, and inner reflection in shaping our lives
- cultivating clarity, resilience, and connection to a deeper sense of self
The workshops combine teaching, guided reflection, contemplative exercises, discussion, and practical insight in a warm and supportive environment designed to encourage genuine inner exploration.

About Jayne Stevenson
Jayne Stevenson is a teacher, healer, dream worker, and co-founder of Big Shakti, whose work bridges Jungian psychology, meditation, yoga philosophy, creativity, and contemplative practice.
With decades of experience exploring healing traditions, inner development, and the symbolic language of the psyche, Jayne brings an unusually rich and multidimensional perspective to the study of personal transformation. Her work integrates psychological depth with grounded spiritual practice, helping people better understand themselves, their patterns, dreams, desires, and deeper motivations.
Her background includes extensive study in Daoist philosophy, meditation, Traditional Chinese therapies, creative arts, archetypal psychology, shadow work, and dream analysis. Rather than approaching growth through rigid systems or surface-level motivation, Jayne’s teaching invites a deeper process of inquiry, reflection, and inner integration.
Participants are often drawn to Jayne’s ability to make complex psychological and spiritual concepts feel accessible, practical, and deeply relatable. Her teaching style is thoughtful, insightful, compassionate, and engaging ~ balancing intellectual depth with warmth, humour, and genuine care.
This workshop series reflects the heart of her work: helping people reconnect with what is true, meaningful, and deeply aligned within themselves.
